You hate that critic that said your work is horrible. In some ways, I agree with him. The good news is you have made great work, unless everyone hated it.
Critics only want to stop an epidemic of horrible works from tainting the art they love. They didn't really want to destroy your life, just make sure that art stays great.
Be your own critic. Destroy the thing that you worked hard to make. It is painful, but you started your art for a reason. You wanted to do this art, because you liked it. You wanted to turn it into something greater than anything ever made in the past. So destroy it and let it be reborn into something greater than what you imagined. Reduce it into it's greatest potential.
